With National Garden Day behind us, we’d like to start by expressing our gratitude to the wonderful team that have helped us build Oxbow into the magnificent country retreat that it is.
From the organic vegetable garden and spectacular rolling lawns to the winding nature trails and beautiful lovers’ bridges. Oxbow Country Estate is a venue unlike any other, thanks to its natural beauty and the loving hands of all who have built and maintained the venue and its gardens.

1 | THE OXBOW LAKE SYSTEM
The unique oxbow lake system at our venue is as beautiful as it is rare, providing guests with the opportunity to find the most peaceful and private riverside walks and hikes. Suitable for all ages, we encourage all of our guests to spend the morning enjoying the lake system and its unbelievable ecosystem before heading to our Sunday Restaurant for a bite to eat or a special picnic.
2 | OUR BEAUTIFUL BRIDGES
With two gorgeous bridges over the lakes, there are a variety of photo opportunities for you and your loved ones to capture special moments in a serene setting. Whether you want to share a private moment on your wedding day, or stop to admire the weeping willows and the clear waters below whilst on a family walk, the bridges are a firm favourite amongst all of our Oxbow guests.
3 | THE BASS FISHING DAMS
Whether you’ve come to fish, picnic, celebrate a wedding, or enjoy lunch at the restaurant, the bass fishing dama at Oxbow are a main attraction. Not only are these waters packed with fish, but our main dam is an oh-so-beautiful spot to watch the sunset and connect with friends and family in a stunning setting.
4 | THE ORGANIC VEGETABLE GARDEN
Take a stroll through Oxbow’s pride and joy – our organic seasonal vegetable garden. Featuring jam-packed beds of edible greens, juicy fruits, and delectable veggies, it’s the perfect place for you and your family to experience the magic of gardening, and to see where your salad at the restaurant came from!
5 | OUR LAWNS
We take extra-special pride in our grassy areas, from the lawn outside of our reception hall (perfect for outdoor ceremonies and pretty pre-drinks on a perfect day) to the lawn around our pavilion and chapel. Each space is maintained impeccably to ensure that your special celebrations are nothing short of perfect.
